Former model and ace fashion designer Simar Dugal passed away today, on August 12. Dugal who broke stereotypes after walking the ramp post her marriage died due to cancer. The sad demise of the famous model and designer was mourned by her friends from the industry. Upon hearing the news of former model and designer Simar Dugal’s demise, actress Malaika Arora took to social media to grieve the death of her dear friend. Other celebrities including Shweta Bachchan, Sophie Choudry and others mourned the death of Simar Dugal.
On Instagram, Malaika Arora shared an old picture of Simar Dugal and penned down some words. The actress shared the picture, with the caption, “My eyes well up n I can’t stop the tears .... my beautiful friend,my angel,my strongest,my most compassionate sim @simardugalofficial ... love u n miss u so so much .... rest in peace my friend.”
In her post, Malaika mentioned that she can't stop crying after hearing the news of Simar Dugal’s demise. Arora called Dugal a beautiful friend, an angel, a strongest, and the most compassionate person. She finally concluded her tweet talking about how much she loves Simar Dugal and will miss her. She ended her post’s caption and wrote, “rest in peace my friend.”

Meanwhile, reacting to Malaika Arora’s Instagram post, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and others also expressed their feelings and grieved the demise of the former model. Apart from Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Sophie Choudry, and designer Vikram Phadnis, too, reacted to Dugal’s death on Instagram. While Choudry wrote, “OMG… I am so so sorry to hear this RIP beautiful simar (sic)”, Phadnis expressed how he ‘can’t believe’, and Shweta commented with a broken heart emoji.
