India’s eminent Kathak dancer Sitara Devi passed away on early Tuesday morning. Sitara Devi was on ventilator and serious on Monday. She died due to kidney failure. The 96 year old danseuse was fighting for her life since last 5 weeks. She had complained about abdominal and pancreatic complications.
Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted condolences, his twitter handle said, "PM has condoled the passing away of noted Kathak dancer Sitara Devi. PM also recalled her rich contribution to Kathak".
