Sonakshi Sinha - Vivek Agnihotri Get Into An UGLY Feud; Actress Accuses Filmmaker Of Spreading Fake News, Involves Mumbai Police
It was Sonakshi Sinha VS Vivek Agnihotri, as the latter accused the actress of shooting amid the lockdown, here’s she responded to the same and cleared the air
Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has often been in the news for his controversial nature. This time around, his tweet on Sonakshi Sinha got the internet talking. It all happened after the filmmaker shared the actress’ picture, what turned out to be an old one, and accused her of shooting amid the lockdown. It saw Sonakshi taking a stroll down the sets and his caption read, “Who shoots in such times?” Sonakshi was quick to take notice and lash out at Vivek.
In her tweet, she didn’t only correct the filmmaker but also shared another picture from the same instance and clarified that it’s not a recent one, as the entire country is under lockdown. “Being a Director and member of many unions and film bodies one would expect you to be better informed that Absolutely NO one is shooting since studios are shut and its a national lockdown! I believe Classic freeze frame means throwback in @ terms,” read her first tweet. She continued, “clearly meaning its an old picture, from 5th Nov 2019 to be precise! Aaah... those were the days!”
Further, Sonakshi Sinha tagged the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra CM and accused Vivek of spreading fake news, “Excuse me @MumbaiPolice, @OfficeofUT what is the procedure to stop people from spreading rumors and fake news at a time like this? Asking for a responsible citizen, sitting at home, practicing social distancing and NOT shooting – ME.”

Well, their feud didn’t end here, as Vivek justified himself by writing that he wasn’t taking a dig at Sonakshi but rather the tabloid for their insensitive journalism. He wrote, “The dig is at @ not you. If I have to say something to you, I’d tag you. It’s very insensitive to print such pictures in a trying time like this giving wrong impression. As a star you should also very strongly condemn this kind of yellow and insensitive journalism.” To which, Sonakshi once had a befitting reply.
