Sonakshi Sinha In Trouble; FIR Lodged For Alleged Fraudery, Actress Says Organiser Pramod Sharma Is Manipulating Facts
An FIR has been registered against Sonakshi Sinha for alleged cheating, criminal conspiracy and breach of trust. Her team has now released a statement
Actress Sonakshi Sinha is in big trouble. An FIR has been lodged against the actress and four others under the charges of cheating, criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust.
According to a media portal, the complainant Pramod Sharma stated that Sonakshi agreed to perform at a Fashion and Beauty Award event in Delhi on September 30, last year and even took a paycheck of Rs 37 lakhs for the same. The event was happening at Sri Fort Auditorium in Delhi for which Sonakshi was also supposed to distribute awards. She even shot for the promotional videos and released them after accepting the amount.
After her confirmation, Pramod made all the arrangements, including sending the flight tickets. However, Sonakshi didn't turn up for the event, which not just led to monetary losses but also, great damage to his reputation.
Said Pramod, "I tried convincing her (Sonakshi) a lot to perform at the event and even told her that I will incur huge losses if she doesn't come, but she refused to perform. They then called me up to change the timing of the event which I denied. The function timing was fixed at 4pm and the tickets for the event were sold out."
Reportedly, Moradabad DSP Gajraj Singh found out that the electronic money transfer did take place. "The complainant had also produced a copy of MoU that was signed by Sonakshi Sinha. We have instructed the Katghar police station to register an FIR against Sonakshi Sinha and her associates. Further investigation will be carried out into the matter, "SSP Ravendra J Gaud told a newspaper.
On learning about the misinformation doing the rounds, Sonakshi Sinha's management agency, released this official statement - "Sonakshi was approached by the event organizers in Delhi to attend an event. However, despite repeated reminders, the organizer failed to make the payments to Sonakshi before the event as contracted. The tickets to Delhi were not in order/as were agreed, the organiser also didn’t send return tickets for Sonakshi and her team, despite knowing that she had a shoot the next morning after the event. This put everyone in a tough spot. Several attempts were made to contact the organiser requesting hum to make the contracted payments and send the tickets, however they remained incommunicado and didn’t live up to their end of the bargain. Due to a lack of commitment by the organiser, Sonakshi and her team were left with no choice but to return home from Mumbai airport . Ever since that day, Sonakshi's management agency has been trying to reach out to the organiser to find a amicable solution to the extent of offering an alternate date and tried to connect but to no avail. The organizer is now using the media to release false and manipulated facts. If the organiser doesn't stop at this, Sonakshi and her team will be forced to take a legal course of action to set this straight. We request media to not let anyone use their platform without looking into the facts."
