Just recently B-town's real-life hero Sonu Sood was honoured by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in a special tweet. The actor has even been transporting thousands of migrants through multiple trains and buses to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. After launching his official helpline, it has become much easier for the migrants to connect with the star & there is no stopping for him. Meanwhile, breaking the internet with his kindheartedness yet again, Sonu Sood has now done the impossible!
The actor flew a total of 180 Uttarakhand migrants who have been stuck in Mumbai amidst the nationwide lockdown. These individuals included pregnant women, specially-abled patients and the elderly. The flight took off early morning today from Mumbai. Sood was contacted by these migrants on social media under his #GharBhejo initiative. Now a video has hit the internet which captures Sonu and his team at the airport making sure to check on the migrant workers being sent back home safely. We can see a long queue outside the international terminal of the Mumbai airport where people are given their boarding passes. Sonu and his team are also captured with the carrier team who is helping him in this initiative. The actor is seen interacting with the airport officials, migrant workers, finally bidding goodbye to the paps stationed at the venue as he zooms off in his car.
These migrant workers are thanking the actor for lending his helping hand, as its allowing them to finally go back home after a long wait amidst of the extended COVID-19 lockdown.
Talking about the same, Sonu Sood said, "I'm really happy that people are reaching out to me. I feel it's my personal responsibility to help these migrants reach home and like I've stated earlier I'm not going to stop until the last migrant reaches his hometown."
