Sonu Sood Clarifies He Won’t Be Campaigning For His Sister Malvika Sood; Adds He Would Remain Away From Politics
Sonu Sood spills the beans on why he would not campaign for his sister Malvika Sood, who recently joined the Congress party
A few days ago actor Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika Sood set her foot in politics. The actor on this new journey of this sister wished her luck in Instagram post. During a conversation with ETimes, he shared he was elated that his sister has taken the plunge, he shall not follow in her footsteps. The Happy New Year actor shares while his sister was always towards the betterment of people, it’s an apt route to do it in a full-fledged manner. However, he chooses to stay away from it.
On Malvika Sood joining the Congress party, he said, “I feel proud that she took the plunge. She has been living there for the past couple of years and knows the issues that matter to people. I am glad she will be able to be in touch with people and help them directly.” When asked if would campaign for his sister, he replied that he won’t be doing it, as he has faith in his sister and she will do it her way. Further confirming that he will remain away from the political arena to a very great extend.
The Simmba actor continued, “It is her journey, and I have nothing to do with politics. I will keep doing the work that I have been doing. I won’t be campaigning for her in the elections because I want her to work hard and do her bit. As far as I am concerned, I will always stay away from politics or any political affiliations.”
Coming to his acting career, he announced his next film Fateh that he will see him helping people fight cyber frauds. “The project is about how common people from the metros and rural India fall prey to digital frauds and how my character comes to their rescue. I am quite excited about this project and am looking forward to it going on the floor in March,” shared the actor. When asked if he missed being away from the silver screen, he replied that did not miss it at all, as last two years, he experienced the joy one gets from giving. He added previously South Indian filmmakers roped him to play negative roles but now they approached him with scripts where he plays the hero.
