Sonu Sood’s Car Confiscated By Punjab Police, Actor Accused Of Entering Polling Station And Influencing Voters; Details INSIDE
In 117 seats, Punjab assembly elections are going underway and amidst this between news related to actor Sonu Sood has come. As per reports, Sonu Sood’s car was seized by the Punjab Police as he has been accused of entering into the polling station and influencing voters. For the unversed, Sonu’s sister Malvika Sood is contesting from Moga district as a Congress candidate. 


ANI has shared the information on their official Twitter account. Moga District PRO Pradbhdeep Singh told the wire, “Sonu Sood was trying to enter a polling booth. During this, his car was confiscated and he was sent home. The SUV has been impounded on the basis of suspicious activity. We have received a complaint that the SUV was taking rounds near the polling booth at Landheke village. We have impounded it. Further action is underway,” SHO Davinder Pal singh was quoted as saying.
Reacting to the same, Sonu clarified he was only trying to make sure that fair elections are going on. He told ANI, “We got to know of threat calls at various booths by opposition, especially the people of Akali Dal. Money being distributed at some booths. So it's our duty to go check & ensure fair elections. That's why we had gone out.”


Earlier Sonu Sood cleared that he won’t do any campaigning for his sister as his sole purpose is to help the needy. Assembly elections are undergoing in 117 constituencies of Punjab. The results of the same will be declared on 10th March.
