Sooraj Pancholi, Disha Salian’s Parents File Complaints Against Puneet Vashisht, Accusing Him Of Posting Defamatory Content On Facebook
Sooraj Pancholi and Disha Salian’s parents have reportedly filed police complaints against actor Puneet Vashisht for a defamatory Facebook post in light of the deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian
In the days following Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, a lot has been said and reported about his death. A few days before Sushant’s death, his former manager Disha Salian died after reportedly falling off the 14th floor of a building in Malad. Several conspiracy theories emerged on social media after their deaths, and now, actor Sooraj Pancholi and Disha Salian’s parents have filed separate complaints with the Mumbai Police against actor Puneet Vashisht, for a ‘defamatory’ post he shared on Facebook, in the light of the deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian.
According to Indian Express, Sooraj Pancholi filed the complaint on Friday, in which he reproduced a Facebook post of Puneet Vashisht dated June 30. In the post, Puneet reportedly linked Sooraj Pancholi for the two suicides that took place in June. He also mentioned defamatory things about Disha Salian, Sooraj Pancholi, as well as other Bollywood actors. As per the report, police said that Puneet had edited the post on July 2, and added ‘forwarded’ in the post, to indicate that it was sent to him by someone else. In his complaint, Pancholi stated, “Mischievous stories are planted in social media by Mr Puneet Vashisht and larger organised crime syndicate. The police should ask them to procure evidence for their theory and if they do not have any, action should be taken.”
Another complaint was filed by the parents of Disha Salian, at Malwani police station last week, and in their complaint, they reportedly accused Vashisht of tarnishing their daughter’s reputation.

Senior Inspector Rajendra Thakur of Versova police station told Indian Express that t has been found Puneet’s post was widely shared on not just Facebook, but several other social media platforms, which gave rise to conspiracy theories.
