Sooryavanshi: Rohit Shetty To Feature In The Promos Of The Film? Here's What We Know

The reopening of theatres in Maharashtra from October 22, 2021 has come as a huge relief for the filmmakers who have been delaying the release of their films. Rohit Shetty is one of them, who is now preparing for the release of his much-awaited movie, Sooryavanshi. The movie stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead, and Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in extended cameos.
As reported in ETimes, Rohit Shetty was spotted shooting for promos in PVR, Juhu premises. These promos featuring the filmmaker are speculated to have been shot for his upcoming movie. The report further suggests these promos will be rolled out in theatres ahead of the movie release. Sooryavanshi was slated to be released in March, 2020. But due to the pandemic and the shutdown, it could not be. Rohit wanted to release the movie in theatres only, and hence, waited until the announcement by the Maharashtra government.
Earlier, after he met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Rohit Shetty confirmed the movie will be released in theatres. "Thanks to our Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Uddhav Thackeray, theatres in Maharashtra to reopen from 22nd October. And FINALLY! we can say, This DIWALI... AA RAHI HAI POLICE," he wrote.
