Two years ago, this day was a dark and one of the most shocking days in the history of the Indian film industry as the first-ever female superstar of Bollywood, Sridevi, took her last breath. Sridevi passed away due to accidental drowning in her hotel’s bathtub. The actress was in Dubai for a wedding when this tragedy happened. Well, there hasn’t been a single day when fans and Bollywood celebrities didn’t miss the legendary actress and her unmatchable aura. Among others in her family, Sridevi was the closest to daughter Janhvi Kapoor.
On the actress’ second death anniversary, Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram and remembered her dearest mother with a heartfelt tribute. The Dhadak star shared a super-adorable throwback picture from her childhood days, also featuring Sridevi. It was a monochrome picture with mother-daughter duo lying on the sofa, as they hugged each other and posed for the camera. Janhvi, in her caption, wrote, “Miss you everyday.” Aww! Well, that’s indeed a priceless memory with the most special person.
Upon Sridevi’s sad demise, Janhvi revealed that it took her a long time to process the news. She said, “I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months."
