Sridevi's 1ST Death Anniversary: Actress' 5 Dance Numbers Which Prove No One Can Match Her Excellence
It was the tragic date of February 24 (midnight), when the nation got the dreadful news of Sridevi's death. The legendary actress died in Dubai and the cause was reported as accidental drowning. Sridevi was in the UAE to attend nephew, Mohit Marwah's wedding along with the entire Kapoor family.

The news sent shockwaves across millions and zillions of fans and of course, a big jolt to her family. Janhvi, Khushi and Boney Kapoor will cope with the loss forever and as they always say, "her void will always be there." A large number of crowd came on streets to join the family in actress' last journey.

It's been a year to the sad incident. On Sridevi's first anniversary, we bring to you 5 dance numbers of the diva which rightly gave her the title of Bollywood's dancing queen!

1. MAIN TERI DUSHMAN- NAGINA (1986)

Can anyone give those killer looks and dance through the eyes, the way Sridevi did in this song, with Amrish Puri, who played the nasty sapera. Wearing a striking white lehenga, Sridevi made this dance number look so revengeful and envious.

2. MERE HAATHON MEIN- CHANDNI (1989)

Dressed in a pink lehenga-choli, flaunting that long ponytail decorated with a beautiful maatha-patti, Sridevi looked irresistibly gorgeous in this peppy dance number from Chandni. The song, which was choreographed by Saroj Khan, still plays in most of the Indian weddings and girls still ape each and every move of the diva. Unmatched expressions and energy, Sridevi nailed this dance number and how.

3. MORNI BAGAH MA BOLE- LAMHE (1991)

This ahead of its time film made heads turn for a lot of reasons, one of them being Sridevi's song, Morni Bagah Ma, starring her and Anil Kapoor. The adah in which the actress danced like a morni made millions of heart flutter. Filmed in a desert, this Rajasthani folk dance again choreographed by Saroj Khan, is still a top favourite of every Sridevi fan.

4- KISI KE HAATH NA AAYEGI- CHAALBAAZ (1989)

A fun-loving and foot-tapping number in which Sridevi played a notorious girl. The song surely looks simple but to perform it the way the legendary actress did, dancing constantly under water, playing with umbrellas, wearing a raincoat, was surely a tough nut to crack. Effortless is not always easy!

5. KAATE NAHI KAT TE- MR INDIA (1987)

Who can forget Sridevi in the blue chiffon saree, moving so gracefully yet sensually in this romantic number with Anil Kapoor? We bet no actress can even think to emulate what Sridevi has done in this number. This was a perfect 10 on 10.
