Former co-stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, known for their collaboration in the horror-comedy Stree, are set to join forces once again for its highly anticipated sequel, Stree 2. The production of the movie began earlier this year, with the makers releasing a teaser unveiling the film's theme. Recently, the duo was spotted at Mumbai airport on Saturday, all set to jet off to Madhya Pradesh for the shoot of Stree 2. Shraddha chose an elegant ethnic look, sporting a printed kurta set paired with an off-white bag and matching Kolhapuri chappals, flashing a smile for the paparazzi before heading inside the airport premises. On the flip side, Rajkummar Rao chose a casual look, sporting a black tee coupled with relaxed track pants and a baseball cap. He rounded off his attire with brown sneakers and carried a black backpack. In a previous occurrence back in July, Rajkummar released a short clip featuring a street in Chandern, Madhya Pradesh. Initially, a wall bore the message "O stree kal aana" (Stree, come tomorrow), which was later replaced by "O stree raksha kama" (Stree, protect us). The video also hinted at the film's theme - the dread of a headless man's haunting presence. Under the direction of Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is backed by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. Alongside Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the sequel to the 2018 film Stree will feature Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi in this blend of horror and comedy.
