Student Of The Year Clocks 9 Years; Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra And Karan Johar Celebrate The Day With Some 'Virtual Wala Love'

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s directorial, ‘Student of The Year’ clocked nine years today. The movie that gave Bollywood its three of its most popular actors - Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra - continues to be celebrated for its large scale and beauty. On this special occasion, Alia, Varun, Sidharth, and Karan had a reunion, albeit virtual.
Alia took to Instagram and shared a selfie with Karan Johar, in which the duo is seen connecting with Sidharth and Varun through a video call. Her caption read, “There’s something about today.. something really special 9 years later we managed to connect and give each other some happy grateful virtual wala love".
Fans stormed the comment section of Alia’s post and showered praises over the actors and the film. “This pic has my WHOLE HEART,” one wrote. “How cute is this,” another said. “Bring this trio back @karanjohar,” the third requested.
Alia’s mother and ace designer Manish Malhotra were also overwhelmed with the film clocking nine years today. Taking to the comment section, the former wrote, “Wow that’s so amazing.”
Sidharth and Varun also did not hold back from expressing their love for the film. Varun shared a still from the film featuring him coming out of a swimming pool and wrote, “It’s been 9 years.”
Sidharth, on the other hand, shared a collage of few images from the film sets.
Karan also celebrated the ninth anniversary of his film and shared ‘St. Teresa Yearbook’ which featured montages of special moments from the film. His caption read, “October is just filled with gifts that keep giving - and #SOTY is one such! Not only does it continue to give everyone many tunes to break out in a dance or hum along, style that is timeless and for me, many many memories! But the ultimate gifts have been these three students, now superstars who keep on giving their absolute best to the field of cinema! For the unversed, Student of the Year featured Alia, Varun and Sidharth as students of the fictitious St Teresa’s High School. However, the students and their friendships are tested as they battle it out in an intense competition to win the ‘Student of the Year’ trophy.
