Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana needs no introduction. She has garnered a huge fan base on social media for embracing her dusky skin tone and being vocal about it. She became an inspiration for many young girls as she became the youngest ambassador of the cosmetic brand Maybelline, who pursued her for her dusky Asian skin tone. However, recently an ad surfaced the internet where it seems like the brand tried to colour correct her, which left many disappointed.

Taking to the comment section of the now viral post, from the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, netizens slammed the brand and Suhana for lightening her natural skin colour for an online lipstick advertisement. Sharing a screenshot of the ad on social media platform, the netizen wrote, “Suhana Khan colour corrected pro max. One wrote, “god forbid a woman is dusky in ads. tf are these brands smoking these days.” Another wrote, “Why did the brand apply pancake makeup to Suhana's dusky face? It's not flattering.” Other one wrote, “Years of watching Papa in ‘Fair and Handsome’ ads must have affected her.” Some even came out to support her and blamed the brand for not giving dusky women a chance to shine in their ads without lightening their faces.
