Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s darling daughter Suhana Khan is all set to make her much-awaited debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. While the audiences are eagerly waiting to watch her on the big screen, she has often become the talk of the town for her fashion statements. She is often subjected to trolling for various reasons. After being mocked for getting big brand deals without achieving much in her career, netizens recently called her out for talking about how the current generation’s focus is more on individuality than the beauty of a person.
In a video that has surfaced on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, Suhana can be seen talking about unrealistic beauty standards at the launch of Tira Beauty. She is the chosen face for the brand along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani. Talking about the same with the host Arjun Kapoor, she expresses how the current generation believes more in a person’s individuality than their appearance. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, the 23-year-old further adds, “And I think it’s not about setting unrealistic beauty standards anymore; it’s about challenging them and breaking them. And I feel like we are really defining the term beauty, with more layers and depth.”

Well, it seems like this has not gone down well with the netizens as they pointed how her and her contemporaries have gone under the knife and skin whitening treatments to fit the society’s beauty standards. One wrote, “There is clearly no nuanced thought behind those lines, it's a textbook answer at best. Our generation is actually the most insecure generation when it comes to looks because of the internet or whatever.” Another wrote, “She changed her nose, whitens her skins and is giving gyan to common folks. Talking about her debut, the upcoming Zoya Akhtar directorial, The Archies is an Indian adaptation of the famous comic with the same name. Set in the 1960s, the Netflix movie is said to be a coming-of-age story that will introduce the new generation of India, with the teenagers of Riverdale. The movie will be released in November 2023. The movie stars Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Aditi Saigal, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Mihir Ahuja in lead roles.
