Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has been on cloud nine ever since his darling daughter Athiya Shetty tied the knot with her long time boyfriend, KL Rahul. The happy couple got hitched in a lavish ceremony at his Khandala bungalow. The cricketer has been facing the wrath of the netizens on social media ever since the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches started. Captain of the Lucknow team, he has been facing a lot of trolling because of his bad form. The actor recently opened up about the same.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, the 61-year-old actor shared how even he has been trolled as a ‘bad actor’ in his life. He went on to recall how people constantly ask if he gives his son-in-law any advice at such times. He said, “What can I tell him? He plays for the country. When asked if he understands Rahul’s situation better, after being on the receiving end of harsh and mean comments, the veteran actor said that this is not about him. He expressed how life in general is like this for everyone. After a stressful day, one goes back home, sits with their family and their de-stresses. He went on to question who the trollers were, how important they were or even what they have gone through to write such mean comments on social media. He went on to explain that Rahul should let his bat do the talking because them talking about it was not going to help. Suniel further added, “He has to practise and play. There are a lot of reasons (behind underperformance)... You have injuries. You go through highs and lows, so many of the kids are going through that. That’s their journey. They have to learn from that. Life doesn’t end at that. We have to move on. He is a strong boy. He has been at it since the age of 11. I love the way he plays.”

On the work front, Suniel Shetty will be seen reuniting with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal for the third instalment of their cult-classic movie Hera Pheri. The actor’s will be reprising their iconic roles of Shyam, Raju and Baburao respectively. If reports are to be believed, the movie will be directed by Farhad Samji.
