Sunny Deol Breaks Silence On Reports Of Him Charging Rs 50 Crores After The Success Of ‘Gadar 2’: ‘I Know My Worth’
Sunny Deol smashed all the box-office records with the success of Gadar 2 and the actor is reported to have increased his fees to Rs 50 crore per film
Sunny Deol’s latest blockbuster film ‘Gadar 2’ has reinstated him as one of the most bankable stars in the industry, as the film grossed over Rs 450 crore. Now, following the film’s success, several rumours suggested that Deol had raised his fee to Rs 50 crore per film.
The actor smashed all the box-office records and the actor has increased his fees to Rs 50 crore per film after the success of Gadar 2. However, the actor has now issued a clarification in an interview with Bollywood Hungama stating that financial matters are private and should not be publicised. He said, "First of all, I feel money matters are very personal. No one shares exactly what he or she earns, even to (the) close ones. Secondly, what I charge or don’t charge will be decided when I sign my next film. Right now, we are all trying to process of enormity of the success of Gadar 2."
Sunny also maintained that he knows his worth and will not compromise his price. “I know my worth. Even at my lowest ebb, I didn’t compromise with my price. At the same time, main samajhdaar insaan hoon. I know today Sunny Deol is being seen in a different light. Lekin main toh wahi hoon jahan main tha. ‘Gadar 2’ is a sequel to Anil Sharma's 2001 directorial 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'. The film is a period action drama, written by Shaktimaan Talwar. 'Gadar 2' features Ameesha Patel, Sunny Deol, and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles.
