Sushant Singh Rajput Birth Anniversary: Sara Ali Khan Celebrates SSR’s Birthday With NGO Kids; Says ‘I Hope We’ve Made You Smile Today’
Actress Sara Ali Khan celebrated late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s birthday in a special way. SSR was his first co-star as she made her Bollywood debut opposite him with 'Kedarnath'. Yesterday, on the occasion of Sushant’s 37th birth anniversary, Sara visited an NGO and celebrated the actor’s birthday with kids by cutting a cake. The actress also posted a video from the celebrations on her Instagram handle alongside a heartfelt note. 

In the video, the Simmba actress could be seen cutting the cake with NGO kids. Sharing this video, Sara wrote in the caption, “Happiest Birthday Sushant I know what making other people smile meant to you. And while you’re watching over all of us, up there next to the rising new moon, I hope we’ve made you smile today too. The actress spent the day with kids from Mumbai-based NGO Bal Asha Trust, which is a shelter for abandoned children. Sara also expressed her gratitude to the NGO and its executive director Sunil Arora for making the day special. Last year in December, Sara remembered Sushant on the release anniversary of her debut film Kedarnath. She shared unseen behind-the-scene pictures of her and SSR from the film sets and penned a long emotional note while reminiscing her memories with Sushant. 

Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last at the age of 34 on June 14, 2020. He was found dead, hanging from the ceiling fan at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. The cause of his death was ruled to have been suicide and the official postmortem reports concluded Rajput died of asphyxia due to hanging.
