The Indian film industry is shaken with the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. The Chhichhore actor took his life by hanging himself in his apartment in Bandra. As per the reports, it was his servant who saw him dead first and called the police. Several questions are being asked as to why did the star take such a drastic step. It is being reported that the actor was in depression for the past few months and was under medication. As the investigation is on, the statement of his doctor will also be recorded, say the reports. Now, his Pavitra Rishta co-star Mahesh Shetty has shared an update.
Reportedly, Sushant's last call before taking such a drastic step was to Mahesh Shetty. The two shared the screen space in the hit television serial Pavitra Rishta and Sushant considered Mahesh as his brother. As per a report in India TV News, Mahesh in his statement to the police stated that Sushant had stopped taking his anti-depressant pills for the past few days. Sushant informed Mahesh that he is fine now and he doesn't need the pills.
Mahesh Shetty, however, also revealed that Sushant was low on energy when he last spoke to him, says the reports. Sushant wasn't suffering from any financial crisis either, revealed Mahesh.
Sushant's mortal remains have been taken to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai and a postmortem is expected to be done. His father is in Patna, who is expected to fly down to Mumbai for his funeral.
