Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Aditya Chopra’s Statements Over Sushant’s Casting In Films Contradict Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s- Reports
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, and Mumbai Police is investigating the actor’s death. So far, several people including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rhea Chakraborty, Aditya Chopra, Sanjana Sanghi, among others have been interrogated and their statements have been recorded. Now, a report on the Internet states that Aditya Chopra’s statements about Sushant Singh Rajput’s casting equations were contradictory to those of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Yash Raj Films head Aditya Chopra was reportedly questioned for over 4 hours by the Mumbai Police yesterday.

A report in Republicworld.com states that according to police sources, Aditya Chopra, who was questioned yesterday, allegedly refuted Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s statements. Sources shared with Republic the details of Aditya Chopra’s interrogation and informed that Aditya Chopra’s statements were allegedly contradictory to those of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who had reportedly stated that Sushant had given up 4 films (Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram- Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and one other film) as he was bound under a three-film contract with YRF.

However, YRF head Aditya Chopra reportedly refuted these allegations about them stopping Sanjay Leela Bhansali from casting Sushant in the film. In fact, Aditya Chopra allegedly informed Mumbai Police that Sanjay Leela Bhansali hadn’t talked to YRF to cast Sushant in Bajirao Mastani.

Aditya Chopra also allegedly stated that Sushant was free to work on other projects despite being in a contract with YRF, and an example of this was the film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, which Sushant had signed while being in a contract with YRF. According to Aditya Chopra, no one from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s team contacted YRF about the filmmaker’s wish to cast Sushant. The reports also stated Aditya Chopra claiming that the accusations about YRF holding back Sushant, but allowing Ranveer Singh to act in SLB’s film was ‘baseless’. As per the report, Aditya allegedly stated that Ranveer signed the film Ramleela in April 2012, while YRF’s contract with Sushant was signed in November 2012. The report in Republic mentions that as per sources on Bhansali’s statement, Sushant Singh Rajput was under contract with YRF and his dates had been blocked for Paani, and he allegedly couldn’t sign films with other banners until his third film with YRF was finished.
