Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: CBI Denies RTI Application To Seek Information, Refuses To Provide Any Information-Report
It’s been almost two years since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by committing suicide at his Bandra apartment. His fans and family members are still struggling to come to terms with his tragic demise. For the unversed, SSR left for his heavenly abode on June 14, 2020. He was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Bandra. His sudden demise created a huge uproar amongst his fans and close ones who demanded justice for him. CBI investigated the matter from various aspects and in fact, the Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate also got involved in the case.

Now, as per the latest update on SSR’s death case, the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI has reportedly refused to provide any information in reply to an RTI query. As per ANI, the CBI, who is still investigating the matter, has denied an RTI application to seek information in the case. The news agency shared CBI’s statement on their Twitter handle that read, “Sushant Singh Rajput case is in the process of investigation, information about the progress may impede the process of investigation. Sushant's family had accused his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of abetting the late actor's suicide and misappropriating his wealth. She was granted bail by the Bombay High Court, 28 days after her arrest on drug-related charges in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. 

Rhea and her brother Showik were among 15 people who got arrested in September 2020 over allegations of arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant's last movie Dil Bechara was released a month after his death on Disney+ Hotstar.
