Mumbai Police is interrogating many people in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. From his rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, friend Sandip Ssingh, supposed roommate Siddharth Pithani to YRF's casting director Shanoo Sharma - many people who were close to Sushant were called in to record their statements. Yesterday, we had filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali making it to Bandra Police Station to record his statement. According to a report in RepublicWorld.com, Sanjay Leela Bhansali informed the cops that he last met SSR in 2016. Further, the report also claims that CCTV footage of SSR's building has been seized.
As per the report published by the portal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali informed the cops that he met the late actor in the year 2016 and had almost cast him in Gooliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela. However, due to date issues, they could not collaborate on the project. RepublicWorld.com reports that SLB was posed with 30-35 questions by the police and the filmmaker revealed that he wasn't aware of Sushant's mental distress.
Further, the report claims that the police has seized the CCTV footage of the building where Sushant hanged himself. There were no cameras installed in the actor's house, says the report.
It was on June 14 that Kai Po Che actor died by suicide. He was reportedly found hanging by the ceiling fan in his apartment. The actor was reportedly suffering from depression and was undergoing treatment. He did not leave behind a suicide note, leading to many questions. Post mortem report of the actor has however confirmed that he died by asphyxiation due to hanging, as reported by RepublicWorld.com.
