Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise has sent a wave of shock throughout the country, especially the whole film fraternity. Nobody could imagine that something like that could come and hit them all of a sudden. The actor was loved throughout the industry and hence this was a bigger shock. His death brings in focus the issue of mental health, especially in this period of lockdown. The whole industry came forward to give their condolences and some of them even talking about mental health. Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan, and others grieved the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, all of them paid tribute to the late actor via their post on Instagram. Deepika, who herself has had a lived experience with mental illness, stressed the importance of reaching out. She shared a note which read, “As a person who has had a lived experience with mental illness, I cannot stress enough about the importance of reaching out. Talk. Communicate. Express. Seek Help. Remember, You are not alone. We are in this together. And most importantly, there is hope." She shared this post with a hashtag that read, “you are not alone.”

Salman Khan wrote, “U will be missed ... #RIPSushant.” Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram and shared a picture of Sushant, with a heart emoji.



Shaheen Bhatt, in her post, wrote about the lack of privacy and the pictures of those mourning circulating on social media. She wrote, “With every high profile death we find ourselves in the same place- photos of mourners and dead alike are splashed all over every media outlet. Each time I find myself saddened and frustrated by the lack of privacy and respect afforded to the people left behind.”She further urged people to not click or look at such pictures of devastated family members.
