The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are currently investigating the drug angle following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. While the agency continues to investigate, last week, the NCB searched the house of actor Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash and found Charas and CBD oil. Reportedly, during the raid, Prakash was not at her home and was untraceable, according to NCB claims. Now, in a significant development in the actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case, as per the latest reports in TNN, Karishma Prakash is now seeking anticipatory bail.
According to the report, on Saturday, Deepika Padukone’s manager moved the special NDPS court seeking anticipatory bail. The report also stated that the plea made by Prakash will come up for hearing next week.
Meanwhile, the NCB booked Karishma Prakash last week, after they allegedly found 1.7gm of hashish and two bottles of CBD oil at her Versova home. An NCB official revealed that the agency raided Prakash’s Versova residence in the presence of her acquaintances on Tuesday, and mentioned she was not present during the search. Apart from this, the NCB team who searched her flat also posted a notice on the door, asking her to appear before the officials. On the other hand, Karishma, who was summoned by the agency remained unavailable.

Last month, both Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash were questioned by the NCB in regards to the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood. Actresses Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were also questioned by the agency, while Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested, was granted bail after almost a month in judicial custody. The NCB has also arrested Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades’ brother in connection to the drug probe.
