Mumbai Police is investigating Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case thoroughly and so far, almost 28 people have been interrogated as per the reports. Sushant Singh Rajput's family members, his friend Sandip Ssingh, rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, roommate Siddharth Pithani, Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi and many others have been summoned so far by the police to record their statement. Now, as per the latest report in Times Of India and Times Now, Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut will also be asked to record her statement.

Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput passed away, Kangana Ranaut has been talking about nepotism in Bollywood. She has blamed Bollywood's bigwigs for sidelining someone as talented as Sushant that supposedly led him to depression. As per a report in TOI, their reports claim that Kangana, as well as filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, may be invited by the police to record their statements. The two do not have any direct link to Sushant's case, however, they have been openly sharing their views over his death.

The same report also claimed that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be called to record his statement. The casting director of production house YRF, Shanoo Sharma, will also be called for the second round of interrogation, says the report.


Post Sushant's demise, Kangana had released a video and also claimed that it appears to be a planned murder at the hands of nepotism as Sushant did not receive acknowledgment for the good work her did. She shared, "He didn't get any acknowledgement for his debut film, Kai Po Che, or MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, or Kedarnath, or Chhichhore. A bad film like Gully Boy gets all awards, Chhichhore is the best film by the best director, but his film gets no acknowledgement."
