Sushant Singh Rajput’s death left the nation shocked, and in the days following since, social media has been flooded with debated about nepotism, bullying in Bollywood, and discussions about what could have been the reason behind Sushant taking such a drastic step. A section of Twitterati, as well as a few family members of the late actor suggested there could be more to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death that hasn’t come up yet. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had also tweeted that ‘professional rivalry’ angle will also be probed, in this case. Now, Mahesh Bhatt was trending on Twitter recently after several conspiracy theories with respect to Sushant Singh Rajput's death surfaced.

A few images are going viral on Twitter, however, there is no confirmation about the accusations and all that is stated in the posts. The post going viral stated that all CCTV of Sushant’s complex was shut down since the night before his death. There were also other claims made, but they weren’t backed by reports. The viral post also states that a few days before Sushant’s death, Rhea had deleted all personal photos with Sushant from her Instagram page. One of the things mentioned in the posts was that the duplicate key of Sushant's house was missing. Then came certain claims that Mahesh Bhatt had once stated in an interview that Sushant will commit suicide one day. The posts also suggest that Rhea and Mahesh Bhatt were close, and if the filmmaker’s comment was simply a coincidence or if there’s more than what meets the eye. Linking it all together, the conspiracy theory insinuated that Mahesh Bhatt could be hiding something. However, none of these accusations were backed by a report.

Sharing this viral post, #MaheshBhatt was trending on Twitter, and many wanted a thorough investigation with regards to this. While one user wrote, “I am actually shocked by reading all these things everyone needs to know this, CBI should Dig deep and find out the actual truth behind the scene and culprit should be exposed Asap! #MaheshBhatt,” another one wrote, “#MaheshBhatt ....if it's true then ...u sud b punish.” However, it looks like someone’s social media post, and none of the information in the post has been verified, or backed by reports.
