The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is currently investigating the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood, following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The agency is doing its best to expose the alleged drug nexus and has so far summoned, questioned and arrested many in connection to the drug probe. In a significant development in the ongoing drug probe, as per reports in ANI, NCB official Sameer Wankhede and team were attacked by a mob while conducting a raid.

 On Twitter, ANI made a tweet and reported that three people were arrested in connection with the incident where NCB official Sameer Wankhede and his team were attacked. As per the report, they NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team were allegedly attacked by drug peddlers while conducting an anti-drug raid.  The report stated that the NCB official and his team were attacked by a mob, in Goregaon, Mumbai on Sunday evening.  Reportedly, the team of six members were attacked and two officers were injured. According to the report, the NCB team arrived at the spot after a tip-off from drug peddlers, but upon their arrival, a mob of 50-60 people gathered around to save the alleged drug peddler.

So far, comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were arrested after the NCB searched their Andheri residence and found a small quantity of cannabis. As per the latest reports, Bharti and Haarsh has been granted bail.
