Sushant Singh Rajput Death: NCB To Oppose Showik-Rhea Chakraborty’s Bail Plea; Hearing Currently Underway
In the latest development, Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty’s bail hearing is underway right now, but in a new twist NCB will oppose their bail plea.
After brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the drug-angle probe linked to the SSR death case. Today, on September 10, bail plea hearing at Special Court, Mumbai is underway. After being arrested, Rhea was sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Rhea’s lawyer then applied for bail which was then rejected by the court. Now in the latest development, Rhea and Showik’s bail hearing is scheduled for today, but in a new twist, NCB will oppose their bail plea.
According to a report in Republic TV, a source close to the development revealed NCB will oppose the bail application of Rhea Chakraborty and the other accused. However, the final argument will be presented today. Apart from Rhea and Showik, Zaid Vilatra, Abdel Basit Parihar, Samuel Mirinda, Dipesh Sawant, and Showik were granted 14 days Judicial Custody till September 23 by the Court.
This morning, we reported, Rhea in her bail plea revealed that she was coerced into making confessions Earlier, TOI report suggested Rhea moved the special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court seeking bail and retracted her statement to the NCB.

Rhea’s plea said, “The NCB has used these basic facts to spin a false narrative that portrays Rhea as being someone who finances the illicit traffic or harbouring of offenders. There is no allegation of Rhea having procured or financed any drug whatsoever outside of the period during which she was in a relationship with Rajput.”
