Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Shekhar Suman Says If Rhea Chakraborty Is Innocent Then Let CBI Prove It

During his latest interview, Shekhar Suman said if Rhea Chakraborty is innocent in the Sushant Singh Rajput case then let CBI prove it. With CBI’s probe into the matter, he’s hopeful that SSR’s family will get closure soon

Shekhar Suman has been supporting Sushant Singh Rajput’s family from the start. Time and again Shekhar has kept his fans and followers informed and up-to-date about the developments in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. CBI got into action soon after the Supreme Court gave its nod. Till now Rhea Chakraborty has been called four times for interrogation, while her mother, father, manager Shruti Modi, house manager Samuel Miranda too have been grilled by the CBI. Now during his latest interview, Shekhar Suman said if Rhea is innocent then let the CBI prove it.

Speaking to ETimes, Shekhar Suman said, “Now that the CBI has moved in, give them a fair chance to investigate. And if Rhea is innocent then let the CBI prove it. There are doing the job diligently. Unfortunately, they have come like 70 days too late. So I think there is a bit of a spot in the sense that the evidence might've been obliterated or taken care of. So it's going to be an uphill task for the CBI. And then from the locksmith to all the other characters who popped up later, why weren’t they interrogated before? What was the Mumbai police doing? So it's not going to be easy for the CBI, but they're on the right trail and they're doing a fairly good job of it.”

He further added that with CBI’s probe into the matter, he’s hopeful that SSR’s family will get the closure soon. Shekhar further told the portal, “The CBI has huge responsibilities on their head, but for the sake of his family, especially for a father who has lost a young son, I just hope that it gets a closure soon. My heart also tells me that if it was not meant to have closure, this thing would have not have dragged on for so long. But I'm also sad about the fact that, in the name of just getting him justice, there are so many unwanted things that are happening. The case is getting scattered, it is going all over the place, in all directions.”

He goes on to add, “Only two things have to be concentrated on. Firstly if it's a suicide, what prompted him to commit that suicide? If that is, though I still believe it's a murder. And if it is a murder, who did it? or who are the people behind it? And all this drug angle, nepotism, money laundering, money, embezzlement, rave parties, all of that can happen along with it.
