Sushant Singh Rajput Demise: CBI's Special Investigation Team To Probe Late Actor's Death Case; DIG-Level Supervisor And IO To Lead
According to a report in Republic, the CBI has formed an elite SIT (Special Investigation Team) to handle Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Reportedly, the leading officers, too, have been finalised.

Only yesterday, the Centre approved the Bihar Government's request for CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, something which has turned out to be a ray of hope for all the deceased's fans, family and friends. It was after the late actor's family requested for the same before the Bihar Police. Supreme Court, too, has asked the Mumbai police to submit all the probe details within the next three days, starting from August 5. Now, as per a report in Republic, the CBI has formed an elite SIT (Special Investigation Team) to handle Sushant's death case. Reportedly, the leading officers, too, have been finalised.
"On Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation got in touch with the Bihar Police to collect all the details from their investigation in the matter. CBI’s elite SIT (Special Investigation Team) will probe Sushant Singh case. According to the sources, the SIT will be headed by Manoj Sashidhar, DIG Gagandeep Ghambir to supervise the probe and Anil Yadav will be the investigation officer," reports the news portal. In other news, Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, one of the prime suspects in the FIR lodged by the late actor's father, has been asked to appear in front of the Enforcement Directorate.
The actress has been given a deadline of August 7. She is likely to be interrogated about the alleged spendings from the Kedarnath actor's bank account.
The DGP of Bihar, in his statement, alleged how Rhea Chakraborty has been absconding ever since the Supreme Court refused to grant her protection. Rhea's lawyer, on the other hand, asked everyone to stop speculating about her whereabouts and caller her law-abiding citizen.
