Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last on June 14 after hanging himself as he was suffering from depression for the last six months. The actor’s untimely death has shaken the entire country and the tributes and condolences from the fans, friends and colleagues were coming in order on social media. Amongst many, even filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri too shared his tribute for the late actor but he also revealed that he had signed SSR for Hate Story but Ekta’s Balaji didn’t release him.’
Taking to his handle he shared a doodle as a tribute to the late star where he wrote, ‘My tribute to #SushantSinghRajput.’ However, unimpressed by the post, a Twitter user said, “Wo Jab zinda tha tab kuch movies offer kar sakte the aap.” Coming across the post, Vivek chose to give a candid reply and wrote, “I had signed him for ‘Hate Story’ - his first movie contract. But Balaji didn’t release him.”
Ekta Kapoor gave Sushant his big break in his career with Pavitra Rishta along with Ankita Lokhande. However, he then went on to give a smashing performance in his Bollywood debut film, Kai Po Che.

On the other hand, an advocate filed a police complaint against Bollywood producers and filmmakers, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ekta Kapoor and actor Salman Khan where he alleged that they conspired against Sushant, prompting him to take his life. Meanwhile, reacting to the same, Ekta Kapoor shared this news on her Instagram feed and slammed the media by writing, “Thanku for the case for not casting sushi....when Actually I LAUNCHED HIM. I’m beyond upset at how convoluted theories can b! Pls @let family n frns mourn in peace! Truth shall@prevail. CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!”
