Sushant Singh Rajput Demise: When The Actor Opened Up About His Late Mother, ‘I Didn’t Cry When My Mom Died’
Amidst the shocking news of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, it was one time when the actor opened up about his late mother and revealed how he didn’t cry when she passed away
In a shocking piece of news today, it was reported that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide earlier this morning. Reports state that the actor hung himself in his Mumbai residence. As per reports, the actor was under treatment for his depression and it was his domestic help who informed the police. As the news of the Chhichhore actor’s demise hits headlines, it was once when Sushant Singh Rajput opened up about his late mother and revealed how he didn’t cry when she passed away.
During an interview with DNA, Sushant Singh Rajput revealed how his mother’s untimely death affected him. When asked if he is hurt that his mother is not here to see his success, Sushant shared how he wishes she was there to see him succeed in his life and mentioned that she would be really happy and proud of him. The actor went on to share how things have changed within him, how everything that excited him, didn’t excite him that much anymore. He added how it takes a lot out of him to force himself to get overly excited about everything and mentioned how that is why he loves acting.
Moving on, the actor went on to share about the time when his mother passed away. Sushant revealed that he didn’t cry. He said, “Would you believe if I said I didn’t cry when she died? I actually didn’t. At that point of time, I was thinking why I was not crying (gets emotional). Probably now when I look at it, we cry because there’s a strong sense of loss. And hence we cry at the thought of losing someone we love.” The actor then added how he changed after coming to terms with his mother's death and accepted that he wouldn’t have her back. He also shared how everything within him changed when he realised that he didn’t cry and mentioned about being a different person from then on.
Meanwhile, as the actor opened up about how his mother’s untimely death changed a lot in him, Sushant Singh Rajput revealed there’s something he will always regret. The actor then spoke about the last conversation he had with his mother and mentioned how his mother requested him to come back home to her, but he refused at that time. Sushant mentioned how his mother called him on December 11, a day before she passed away and shared how he felt odd when the last line she said to him was, “She just asked me to take care of myself,” and passed away next day due to a brain haemorrhage.
Finally, when asked if he regrets not going back to his mother the day she called him before her untimely death, he said, “I know that I could not have gone the next morning. But this thought of not going for so long when she wanted me to, has stayed with me.” The actor mentioned how the thought of not going back to his mother, when she needed him, always stayed back with him.
