The Nepometer launched by Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law, has now rated Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 starring Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur as 98 percent nepotistic. The results state that their family members have been employed in 4 out of 5 categories

In the days following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, conversations and debates over nepotism in Bollywood were once again reignited. There was outrage on social media as Netizens slammed Bollywood biggies, and called out star kids. Amid all this, a Twitter account named Vishal Kirti, believed to be Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti’s husband, shared about the launch of an app called the ‘Nepometer’. As the name suggests, the nepometer will rate a movie on how nepotistic it is based on a few categories. Now, the nepometer is at work, and the first film it has rated is Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 starring Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur.

While announcing the Nepometer, Vishal Kirti had written, “Created by my brother @mayureshkrishna in the memory of my brother in law @itsSSR.” Now, the Twitter account of Nepometer rated Sadak 2 as 98 percent nepotistic. The conclusion was drawn based on 5 categories- producer, lead cast, supporting cast, director and writer. The tweet reads, “#Sadak2 is 98% Nepotistic. We rated it based on 5 categories, Producer, Lead Artists, Supporting Artists, Director & Writer. 4 out of 5 categories have Bollywood Family members. When #nepometer is high it’s time to #boycottbollywood Will you watch this movie? Tell us in comments.”

All the categories show people with a family background in films. Only one category out of the 5, that is the supporting cast names Gulshan Grover as a self-made star. Take a look:


Sushant Singh Rajput died due to suicide on June 14. He was cremated at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai on June 15, and the funeral was attended by his family members, as well as, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ekta Kapoor, among others. His ashes were immersed in the Ganga river, Patna, by his family members.
