Sushant Singh Rajput's Father Files Counter-Affidavit In Supreme Court Calling Rhea Chakraborty's Plea Seeking Transfer Of FIR 'Infructuous'
As per the latest updates, Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh has filed a counter-affidavit in Supreme Court objecting Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of FIR from Patna to Mumbai
Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is now in the hands of CBI. It was during the Supreme Court hearing of Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of the FIR filed by the late actor's father in Patna that Solicitor General Tushar Mehta revealed that the centre has approved the request of Bihar Government for a CBI Probe in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Rhea requested to transfer the FIR to Mumbai Police. The Apex Court gave three days to the respective parties to file their replies. As per the latest development, Sushant's father has filed a counter-affidavit.
As reported by ANI, Sushant's father has argued that the case has already been transferred to CBI and hence, Rhea's request seeking transfer of the FIR remains 'infructuous'. A tweet made by the news agency reads, "#SushantSinghRajput's father, KK Singh (in file pic), files counter affidavit before Supreme Court stating the investigation in the FIR has already been transferred to CBI and thus Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai stands infructuous."
The Supreme Court had also ordered the Mumbai Police to put on record the investigation carried out so far in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The CBI has already started its probe by filing an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakraborty, parents, manager Shruti Modi and others.

Yesterday, Rhea was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate, in a money laundering probe related to Sushant's case. In the FIR lodged, Sushant's father reportedly mentioned the financial irregularities in Sushant's bank accounts naming Rhea.
