A few days ago Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR in Bihar, accusing Rhea Chakraborty of abetting Sushant’s suicide, among other accusations. In the FIR KK Singh also accused Rhea and her family members of fraud of Rs 15 crore. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) reportedly registered a money laundering case against Rhea and some of her family members on the basis of a criminal case lodged by Sushant’s father. Now, ED sources revealed details of Rhea Chakraborty’s finances to India Today, and as per the report, Rhea’s net worth increased from Rupees 10 lakh to Rupees 14 lakh.
Sharing the details of Rhea Chakraborty’s finances, India Today report states that according to the Income Tax Return (ITR) records, Rhea Chakraborty's net worth saw an increase from Rs 10 lakh to 12 lakh and then Rs 14 lakh in the last few years. It then states that Rhea bought two properties in Mumbai- one is in the name of Rhea and another in her family member’s name- despite a meager net worth. The India Today report states it still isn’t clear who paid for Rhea’s property.
The ED has reportedly asked for property papers, which are expected today. So far two companies of Sushant Singh Rajput have been examined and another company based in Delhi is yet to be examined.
A few days ago, it was reported that Sushant’s CA Sandeep Sridhar was questioned by the ED in connection with the money laundering case, and the India Today report states that the ED isn’t satisfied with the CA’s statement.
Meanwhile, ANI reported that Rhea Chakraborty has been asked to appear before the ED on Friday, that is, August 7. “Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons Rhea Chakraborty in connection with #SushantSinghRajput's death case. She has been asked to appear before the agency at its Mumbai office on 7th August," read the tweet posted by ANI.
