Jalebi actress Rhea Chakraborty is one of the main accused in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Currently, after the Supreme Court ordered the CBI to investigate the SSR death case, the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 at the young age of 34. The actor allegedly died by suicide and no note was found. As SSR’s mortal remains were taken to the mortuary in Cooper Hospital for post-mortem after his demise, in an interview, late Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty reveals what happened in the mortuary. After Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde revealed that the actress was not allowed at SSR’s funeral by the family, she also shared how much time she spent in the mortuary.
Speaking to India Today, when asked how long did she spend in the mortuary, Rhea Chakraborty mentioned that she was present in the morgue for about 3-4 seconds. The actress said, “Most probably, 3-4 seconds,” and added, “I was told to wait outside.” After sharing that she was told to wait outside the mortuary, Rhea mentioned that it was her friends who requested officials to allow her to see SSR’s mortal remains. The actress added, “My friends requested somebody ki yeh ek baar body dekhna chahti hai, unhone bola ek baar post-mortem ho jaega, body jab van ke taraf jaegi funeral ke liye, us samay app dekh sakhte hai.”
Rhea Chakraborty revealed that someone at the morgue told her friends that once SSR’s mortal remains are taken to the Ambulance van for the last rites, then the actress could see him, after post-mortem. Rhea then disclosed that when SSR’s mortal remains were taken to the van, it was then when she got to see him one last time for about 3 seconds. The actress continued to share that she said sorry to Sushant because she was sorry that he lost his life. She then mentioned that after apologizing to him, she touched SSR’s feet as a mark of respect.

Meanwhile, talking about her gesture of touching Sushant’s feet, she said that she thinks that every Indian would understand why a person touches someone’s feet after their death. Apart from that, Rhea also reacted to the Europe trip she took with SSR and her brother Showik.
