Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14 left the nation shocked. In the days following his death, social media was flooded with throwback videos, posts and pictures of him, remembering not just how brilliant an actor Sushant was, but also what a beautiful, kind person he truly was. While his fans may not have known a lot about his personal life, Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has been sharing some precious moments she shared with her brother Sushant via emotional posts on social media. Recently, she took to her Facebook and shared a heartbreaking post, and remembered the time when she got married and Sushant hugged her and cried a lot as she was moving to the US.
In her post, Shweta Singh Kirti mentioned ho every time she thinks she is coping with Sushant’s death, a certain incident or memory comes rushing in, leaving her broken once again. It was in that post that she recalled the day of her marriage in 2007, and ho Sushant hugged her tight and they both cried a lot as she was leaving. She wrote, “Fast forward in 2007, I remember the day when I got married and as I was leaving, Bhai hugged me tight and we cried a lot. Physically we won’t stay together anymore, we won’t get to see each other that often anymore as I was moving to USA.”
She later said how both she and Sushant got busy with their lives. “Bhai got into Bollywood and kept making us all proud with his accomplishments but I remained protective about him. I would often ask him to come and visit me in the US so that we can relive our childhood once again away from all the noise,” wrote Shweta.
Shweta Singh Kirti also shared adorable throwback pictures, one of which, was from her wedding. Another picture was a screenshot from her last conversation on WhatsApp with Sushant, 4 days before his demise, in which she asked him to come visit her in the USA.
