Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide: After Recording His Statement, Rumi Jaffrey Reveals Rhea Chakraborty Informed Him About His Clinical Depression
As per the latest reports, Rumi Jaffrey has recorded his statement and told the Police that he learnt about Sushant Singh Rajput’s depression after his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty informed him
Mumbai Police summoned filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case. After SSR ended his life on June 14, Mumbai Police acted swiftly upon his case. Sushant and Rhea were set to star in Rumi Jaffrey’s rom-com and on Thursday, Rumy was summoned by the Mumbai Police, where he was interrogated for almost 4-5 hours. As per the latest reports, Rumy informed Police that he learnt about SSR’s depression when his girlfriend Rhea informed him.
As per the latest report in Republic TV’s online portal, Rhea Chakraborty had informed Rumi Jaffrey about Sushant’s clinical depression. Speaking to the portal, Rumi spilt the beans on their last conversation. He said, “I went to talk to him, but Sushant did not open up and speak about it. On June 12, my last conversation with Sushant Singh was via WhatsApp, where I wanted to know his condition but with his repression, I got to know that he is in depression or disturbed over something.. later I didn’t talk to him much not even I took the matter forward."
Spilling the beans on the interrogation Rumi Jaffrey told ETimes, “I went there at 3 pm and left at 7 pm. It took a long time because they questioned me about everything in detail. From the romcom I was planning with Sushant to his mental health, the police questioned me about everything. I had all details and dates in place about the first time that I met Sushant, when and where we had the narration of the script and more such information.”

He further added that the Police asked him about everything. Right from their rom-com film together to their last conversation, Rumi divulged into details. He further added, “They asked me everything — how the project was planned, who was producing it, how many times we met and discussed the project and whether the meetings happened at my home or at Sushant’s place. I was also asked about his mental health. I spoke truthfully about whatever I knew. I expected I’d be called anytime as I was doing a film with him. Agar sab theek hota toh yeh film floor pe hoti.
