Veteran BJP leader and Former External  Affairs Minister brethed her last at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital following a massive cardiac arrest on Tuesday evening. Since then, there was a huge outpour of grief and mourning on social media and people from all fields mourned the demise of the senior BJP leader. The nine-time parliamentarian was 67 and could not be revived as her family room her to Delhi's AIIMS hospital. She was known to be a very prolific politician and helped numerous Indians in trouble who reached out to her on Twitter.

The news of the sudden demise of BJP statesman Sushma Swaraj triggered a wave of grief across people and right from her fans to politicians to Bollywood celebrtities. Now, Bollywood celebrities Akshay Kumar and  Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the astute leader.  Amitabh Bachchan shared a post that featured himself along with the foreign minister and wrote, “एक अत्यंत दुखद समाचार ! एक बहुत ही प्रबल राजनीतिज्ञ , एक मिलनसार व्यक्तिव , एक अद्भुत प्रवक्ता । आत्मा की शांति के लिए , प्रार्थना”, which when translated reads, “A very sad news! A very strong politician, a sociable person, a wonderful spokesperson. Prayers for peace of soul.” Akshay Kumar wrote, “Extremely sad to hear about the passing away of #SushmaSwaraj ji...she was such a dynamic leader, someone who was unanimously admired and respected by all. My thoughts and prayers with her family. May her soul rest in peace.”




Just hours after celebrating the news of the repeal of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status,  the former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away yesterday aged 67. She had taken to social media to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the abrogation of Article 370.
