In an interview with Film Companion, the actress expressed her indifference towards settling down, stating that she doesn't give a 'damn' about it. The 48-year-old emphasized that she is fortunate to be surrounded by remarkable individuals, citing her Aarya director (Ram Madhvani) and producer (Amita Madhvani) as one of the most beautiful couples she knows. While discussing her perspective on companionship, she stressed the significance of friendship and the importance of respect. the former Miss Universe highlighted her belief in the vitality of companionship and friendship, underscoring the essential elements of respect and freedom in any relationship. She expressed her strong conviction in prioritizing freedom, stating, "So I give a damn about freedom.”
In 2021, Sushmita officially acknowledged the end of her relationship with Rohman on her Instagram handle. In her post, she stated, “We began as friends, we remain friends!!! The relationship was long over. the love remains!" Despite the formal breakup, the two have been frequently seen together in public since then.
