These are trying times, with the Coronavirus pandemic spreading globally and there’s a lot of uncertainty among people. The economy is also hard hit, and has left many people unemployed. Some are even struggling for food, and many people have volunteered to donate food to the underprivileged in these times. Now, a video on social media shows volunteers fasting for Ramzan distributing food in temple premises. Swara Bhasker and Gauahar Khan were impressed by the show of unity and applauded the volunteers for the same.
There are often many instances showing examples of Hindu-Muslim unity and solidarity. One such heartwarming incident was shared by journalist Rana Ayyub, who shared a video of ration being distributed to the needy. She wrote, “Distribution in the temple premises today by volunteers who were fasting for Ramzan and beneficiaries were the local adivasis and tribals. This unity is what the country needs in this hour of crisis. Proud of all our volunteers. A hugely satisfying day of our relief campaign.”
