Swara Bhasker REACTS To #ArrestSwaraBhaskar Trend; Makes A Sarcastic Comment Reasoning Why Celebs In India Raise Their Voices Only For Elephants
Swara Bhasker is known for speaking her mind whenever it comes to the issues that are a matter of concern, be it political or social, Swara ensures to send across her view and perspective to the masses despite thinking about the repercussions that will follow later. Recently, her speech video from the time of CAA and NRC protest went viral on social media and netizens started trending #ArrestSwaraBhaskar on Twitter.  Swara thought of reacting to the same and in her recent tweet, she not only made a sarcastic comment on the issue of celebrities talking about only elephants but was also seen supporting Safoora Zargar.

A video of Swara sloganeering along with the protestors went viral on social media and Twitterverse was so furious that they have started trending #ArrestSwaraBhaskar on Twitter. Reacting on the same, she shared the screenshot and wrote, “And that my friends.. is why most celebrities in India only raise their voices for elephants!#safoorazargar #ArrestSwaraBhaskar #bizarrebuttrue.”

After the tweet was shared, she received a severe backlash from the fans and Twitter followers who slammed her for comparing the innocent elephant with Safoora. One user commented, “Shame that you are comparing innocent elephants with Safoora.” There were some who commented, “Apna kaam pahle sahi se kro baad me rajniti me ana swara ji, jis chij ka pata na ho to bola na kre...” and “Elephant was INNOCENT but Safoora Zargar is not” While another one wrote, “Haan kyoki vo aazadi nhi maang rahi thi na hi 500₹ me pregnant hui thi na hi yeh bola chahe jail me daalo ya jute maaro.”


For the uninitiated, according to a report in News18, Safoora Zargar, whose bail plea was rejected for the third time, has been in prison since Delhi Police's Special Cell arrested her on April 10 in connection with her role in inciting violence ahead of sectarian riots in North-East Delhi in the month of May. The 27-year-old, who was arrested on 10 April 2020, is currently in Tihar Jail on judicial custody after she was arrested under FIR 59 which is the anti-terror law.
