Swara Bhasker Schools A Man For Using ‘Tumse’ Instead Of ‘Aapse’; Says, ‘Tameez Se Baat Karo, Hum Dost Nahi’
Swara Bhasker is known for her no-nonsense attitude and voicing her opinion against everything she feels is wrong. The actor is often at the receiving end of trolls and criticism due to the same but she either pays no heed of has a befitting reply for those questioning her morality. Something similar happened recently after the Veere Di Wedding actress shared her two cents on the TikTok controversy and criticised the ones making inappropriate content that celebrated aggression and violence against women. This, however, didn’t go down well with a journalist and they got into a verbal spat on Twitter.

The video quoted by Swara is a compilation of all the controversial Faizal Siddiqui-like clips that indirectly promote acid attack against women. In her caption, she wrote, “Hey @TikTok_IN why and how are you allowing this kind of content -which is SO obviously celebrating and promoting aggression and violence against women, and perpetrating false misogynistic stereotypes -to be published & viewed freely on your platform??? #Shame.” In response to the same, a journalist asked her that actors, too, do the same in films and so are they (TikTokers), why does she not raise her voice against them?

In another tweet, he wrote that while he doesn’t support such act, he needs an answer from Swara by calling her ‘tumse’. This irked the actress and she replied writing, “आपसे सवाल” - गुरप्रीत जी.. तमीज़ से बात करें- हम दोस्त नहीं हैं! ‘आपके’ सवाल का दूसरे tweet में जवाब है।  (Aapse sawal – Gurpreet Ji, tameez se baat karo, hum dost nahi hai! Aapke sawal ka dusre tweet mein jawab hai)”

Take a look:

She then replied to his query by tweeting, “Every time films have promoted or 'normalized' anti-women pranks, sexist stereotypes or gender-based violence — and it has often happened — many people have questioned it! What is your problem with questions? And yes.... it is wrong to romanticize violence on women!”
