Taapsee Pannu and Kriti Sanon are currently riding high on the success of their recently released films. Talking about Taapsee, she had 4 films namely Badla, Saand Ki Aankh, Mission Mangal and Game Over and all of them have done a good business at the box-office, whereas Kriti, the lady too had a phenomenal 2019 where she had Housefull 4, Panipat and Luka Chuppi and these too did quite and an impressive job at the domestic markets. Since these two ladies are achieving pretty well in their respective films, the two are now in the race to bag a film which is going to be produced by Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar. The producer and director have got the official rights of Run Lola Run which will be remade in Hindi and for the film, Pannu and Sanon are the top contenders for this heroine driven film, Run Lola Run for the Hindi version.
The report also suggested that the makers of the film have bounced off the idea to both the heroines who have also liked the script. However, now they are figuring out on who will become a great performer as well as work well with the audience. According to Pinkvilla, a source close to the development reveals, "Taapsee Pannu and Kriti Sanon are the top choices for both Tanuj and Atul. They have bounced the idea off to both the heroines who have also liked the script. The story has been modified to suit a more Indian audience."
The source further was quoted by the portal, saying, "They are figuring out dates and whoever among the two can accommodate their dates, will get the project. Tanuj feels that since it's a heroine driven film, both Taapsee and Kriti, with their projects in 2019 have managed to create their own spaces and proved that they are commercially viable actresses. They wanted someone like that - who is a great performer and also works well with the audience."
For now, we have to wait and watch to see who finally signs the dotted line – Taapsee Pannu or Kriti Sanon.
