Taapsee, who was recently seen in Mission Mangal reacts in an interview about how it takes an Akshay Kumar to present a female-driven film and says that the women in the film together gave Akshay sir his biggest opener.
Taapsee Pannu has emerged in Bollywood with her power-packed performances in films Pink, Badla, Manmarziyaan and Game Over. Although some of her films might not make it that great at the Box-Office, the actress showcased her talent with her skills. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Taapsee talks about recently released film Mission Mangal takes Akshay Kumar to present a female-driven film. The actress said, "People keep saying that does it take an Akshay Kumar to present a female-driven film or a film where women have pivotal roles. We can also boast and say that we women together gave Akshay sir his biggest opener. We are proud to be part of this film that's opened so huge." - Taapsee said in her recent interview. Pannu in Mission Mangal plays a nervous army soldier’s wife who in the mission is a navigation and communications in charge.
The film Mission Mangal celebrates the journey of the Indian space shuttle to Mars and the powerful women-led team of ISRO who executed and brought the mission to life. It is the unsung victory of the women behind the story of India’s Chandrayaan’s Mission to Mars. Mission Mangal was released on Independence Day and is making great numbers at the Box-office.
