Taapsee Pannu's Mom Opens Up On Her Daughter's Marriage Plans With Boyfriend, Badminton Player Mathias Boe
After Taapsee Pannu confessed to dating badminton player Mathias Boe, her mother reveals that there’s no pressure on them to get married as she doesn’t really believe in the institution of marriage
When it comes to Taapsee Pannu’s professional life, almost everything is available in the public domain. However, very little has been known about her personal life, relationship status, to be precise. And the while the rumours were abuzz that Taapsee Pannu has already met the man of her dreams, nothing was acknowledged by the actress, until now. In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, Taapsee confessed to seeing Badminton player Mathias Boe. She, in fact, had also opened on up her marriage plans; now, Taapsee’s mother has followed the suit.
The actress’ mom revealed how she is under no pressure to get married and while they do discuss it, the final decision is on Taapsee. She said, “There's no pressure on her to get married. I do talk about it sometimes, but even I don't believe in the institution of marriage much. So it's up to her when she wants to do it." To which, Taapsee added, “I have told you, there's been no pressure at all. My parents have just told me that they would like to see me married eventually. But it's never been abhi karna hai nahin toh yeh ho jayega ya woh ho jayega."
As for making her relationship status official, Taapsee had said to the portal, “I don’t want to hide anything from anyone. I’m very proud to accept the presence of someone in my life. But yes, at the same time, I wouldn’t only talk about it for the headlines because then it takes away from my credibility as an actor and what I have achieved in all these years by working hard. That I can’t afford to do.”
She continued, “There’s someone in my life and my family knows about it. It’s very important for me that my family - including my sister and my parents - they like the person who I’m with. Else it won’t work for me. I remember joking about it and telling someone, ‘Agar mummy papa nahi maane, toh mujhe nahi lagta kuch ho sakta hai’ (If my parents don’t agree, I don’t think this relationship has a future).”
Well, that’s great news. We can’t wait to see Taapsee Pannu as a real-life bride already!
