Taapsee Pannu's Name Is Spelt Differently On Her Legal Documents Including Passport; Here’s Why
Taapsee Pannu is anyway a very unusual name but looks like the name wasn't good enough for her father. In an interview with Mid-Day, the actress said that her name is spelled 'Tapasee' on all her legal documents, including her passport.

The actress was quoted saying, "By the time I was old enough to say, 'Dad, please don't do this to me,' it was too late. T-A-P-S-I, for him, in numerology, wasn't good enough. It needed to have two Es, and an extra A, for some weird reason."

Not only that, Taapsee also added how the teachers in school would have a lot of difficulty in pronouncing her name. She quipped, "During roll call in school, the teacher would stop at roll number 47, and go, 'Taa Taa...' Being used to it, I'd just say, 'Taapsee Pannu, present ma'am!' I was not fine with correcting every Indian out there. That it is Tapsi, not Tapa-see. For screen, I just shifted (my dad's) two As, to make it Taapsee!"

On the work front, Taapsee Pannu delivered a fantastic performance in Anurag Kashyap’s thriller, Game Over. The actress not only garnered a lot of appreciation from the audience but also from the critics. However, the film didn't set the cash registers ringing.

Ms. Pannu will be next seen in Mission Mangal along with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menon, Sharman Joshi, Sonakshi Sinha and Saand Ki Aankh with Bhumi Pednekar. The leads of the film have faced a lot of criticism for their respective looks in the poster.
