Thappad actress Taapsee Pannu is voicing her opinions since quite sometime now. She has spoken freely about her opinions on her social media handle and shared her thoughts with fans and others as well. It was recently that the Centre issued new guidelines to be followed during the Coronavirus lockdown in the country, which allowed the opening of theatres as well. Now, in a tweet, Taapsee slammed news channels for their coverage on the entertainment industry and took a jibe at them for having maximum coverage related to the entertainment industry during the lockdown.

On Twitter, Taapsee Pannu made a special request to all the news channels out there now that theatres are allowed to open with 50% occupancy. She tweeted, " Now that theatres are allowed to open with 50% occupancy its only fair to expect some ‘news’ channels to focus 50% more towards ‘real’ news. Thank you guys, you held the fort of entertainment long enough on our behalf. We can take over from here on. #SharingCaring."

The Thappad actress said that now that theatres are allowed to open with 50% occupancy, it's only fair to expect some news channels to focus on 50% 'real news'. As some news channels have been covering maximum entertainment industry related news, she thanked them for holding the fort for long enough on the behalf of members of the entertainment fraternity. Meanwhile, for the unversed, it was recently that the centre issued the guidelines of Unlock Phase 5.0. According to the latest guidelines, movie theatres are allowed to open with 50% occupancy, across the country from October 15, onwards.
