Taapsee Pannu wishes to buy pizza for Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, who made India proud by bagging a silver medal at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
Bollywood celebrities have been giving sweet shout-outs to Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, who clinched a silver medal in women’s 49 kg category weightlifting at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. Right from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Akshay Kumar, BTown stars celebrated the victory of Chanu’s on social media. The latest to join the list is actor Taapsee Pannu, who wishes to buy pizza for the Indian athlete.
Recently, while speaking to NDTV, Mirabai Chanu expressed her desire to gorge on delicious food, as she had been following a strict and healthy diet over the past few years. When asked what she would like to eat, the weightlifter said she would first like to eat pizza as it’s been quite a long that she has not. Sharing the video on her Twitter, Taapsee wrote, “So adorable ! I wish I can buy her one! Will be an honour,” along with a heart emoticon.
Thhappad also penned her thoughts on her Instagram stories and said Mirabai Chanu’s name and face will be celebrated for years to come. She wrote, “Mirabai Chanu! Remember the name! Our first silver this Olympics! Go India!” She also shared a picture of the champion and said, “This name and face! We will celebrate for years to come! @mirabai_chanu.”
