Tabu Announced As One Of The Presenters For TIFF Tribute Awards 2020
Actress Tabu is one of the presenters for TIFF Tribute Awards 2020 to be held virtually this year due to COVID-19 pandemic
It’s time to celebrate as actress Tabu will be joining the likes of Hollywood stars at the prestigious film festival, TIFF Tribute Awards at Toronto International Film Festival 2020. The talented actress will be one of the presenters at this film festival to be held on September 15, 2020. The news was announced on the official Twitter account which also had names of Colin Farrell, Ava DuVernay, Tabu, Regina King, Olivia Colman, Jodie Foster, and Delroy Lindo.
Their tweet read, “Just announced: The #TIFF20 Tribute Awards will be hosted by @ETALKctv’s @TheChloeWilde and Tyrone Edwards (@mr1LOVETO), with special presenters including Colin Farrell, @Ava DuVernay, Tabu, @ReginaKing, Olivia Colman, Jodie Foster, and Delroy Lindo (@authenticdelroy).” Along with being one of the presenters, Tabu has one more reason to celebrate as her film, A Suitable Boy helmed by Mira Nair has been chosen to be showcased at the upcoming festival. The film is said to close the prestigious film festival to be held this year.
List of celebs and filmmakers to be honoured at Tribute Awards includes filmmakers Mira Nair, Tracey Deer, actors Kate Winslet, Anthony Hopkins and Grammy winner composer Terence Blanchard.

Also unlike the previous years, the awards will be held on the virtual platform, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with presenters and award recipients delivering speeches on the digital platform. The Toronto Film Festival will be held online from September 10 to 19, 2020.
